This summer researchers will work at Sorgfjorden, Svalbard, to develop methods of archaeological field research in the polar regions. The project will test these methods by documenting the archaeological remains of the Swedish-Russian Arc-of-Meridian Expedition (1899–1901) at Sorgfjorden on north-eastern Spitsbergen, Svalbard.
