The content in the portal is sorted by polar region and year. It’s also possible to filter content based on research platform and expedition.

Use the icons on the map to navigate the Polar Research Portal:

  • The yellow icons are blog posts.
  • The flashing red icon is the latest blog post.
  • The flashing blue icons are cruise reports.

All content can also be found using the menu on the right.

Expeditions

These are all research expeditions included in the Swedish Arctic and Antarctic research programmes SWEDARCTIC and SWEDARP since 1999. This is also where you’ll find cruise reports, as well as publications and data from the expeditions.

Blogs

Read the researchers’ own blogs to learn more about work and everyday life during research expeditions in the Arctic and Antarctica.

Please note that most blog posts are in Swedish only.

Researchers

This is a list of Swedish principal investigators in alphabetical order. It makes it easy to see which expeditions the different researchers have participated in. A list of participants in the various research projects can be found in each cruise report.
