Today we split into two teams. Grzeg went down to the upper part of Blue River to collect samples and measure the thickness of the layer sequence. Ben, Henning and I went to the western heights, primarily to recon the area for a possible traverse to Otoceras Valley.

During the trip, customary sampling was conducted and we found fossils! I found a complete fish, a Saurichthys. Together with Ben the expert, the concretion was split, and there it was! My first complete fish, model year 250 million years ago.

Henning is cooking dinner today and we are excited.

A young Arctic fox visited us on the western plateau. Somewhat timid, but curious.

Two muskoxen are hanging out on a plateau nearby.
