The aim of the LongTerm project was to study sediments, landforms and lakes – as well as remains of former human habitation – on the coastal plain and along valleys leading into the alpine mountains to the south, supplemented with studies on processes along present glaciers.
In the summer of 2007, the project conducted its second expedition to the northernmost land area on Earth: Johannes V. Jensen Land in northern Greenland.
