In the winter of 2019, polar researchers from the University of Gothenburg will participate in a research expedition to the Amundsen Sea. The expedition is part of a U.S.-British research programme called the International Thwaites Glacier Collaboration – a five-year quest to understand the contribution that the Thwaites Glacier in the West Antarctica will make to global sea level.
