Measurements of aerosols was made using a movable atmospheric radar system at Wasa as part of the MARA (Moveable Atmospheric Radar for Antarctica) project.
The project is intended to increase our understanding of aerosol processes and waves in the middle atmosphere, and to compare Antarctic and Arctic tropospheric aerosols. This research could also increase our knowledge of meteorological disturbances around Wasa and other research stations in the region. Two researchers worked on the project during the expedition.
