EPICA Dome C and EPICA DML: Two parallel deep ice core drillings in Antarctica The 2002/03 season of the long-term programme EPICA was a great success. The EPICA Dome C drilling reached a depth of 3 200 m and resulted in the longest ice core record ever recovered.
