Homeward journey

We've started our homeward journey! Gradually leaving the main science area behind while pausing for CTD's on the way.
We have reached Thwaites! Storm brewing for tomorrow. We have a few hours for charting the seafloor until it breaks.
Nathaniel B. Palmer has left Punta Arenas now and is heading for the Southern Ocean.
All ready for the NBP19-02 cruise now after two weeks of preparation in Punta Arenas.
We've had busy weeks in the Amundsen Sea, some days with work around the clock, but now it's finally time for a new blog post.
One of our missions was to pick up a couple of submerged moorings, which have been measuring various parameters during the two years since we were here the last time. But we have had some setbacks on board.
We have been on our way for a week now and have started to get into the routines on board. We have entered the ice and saw the first icebergs.
