As part of the Integrated Ocean Drilling Program (IODP), Arctic Coring Expedition (ACEX) was a project with the objective of extracting drill cores from the bottom of the Arctic Ocean at the Lomonosov Ridge.
The icebreaker Oden participated in the demanding but successful operation.
